Second Saturday with Neighbors

A person should not have to hold certain religious beliefs, be sober or drug-free, or be mentally healthy in order to receive food, kindness, and shelter. And we can all choose to be kind.

It’s a joy to be able to spend time with our Heartside neighbors on the second Saturday of

every month. On this very hot day, we added a water station where people could grab a

new water bottle and fill up from a jug of water. Our "shoe store" is becoming more organized as is the clothing.

All in all, we love being at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in the heart of this neighborhood and being able to meet and greet our neighbors without requiring them to check-in or show ID in order to receive a pair of socks, a sandwich, or a sweatshirt. Thank you so much to our volunteers and donors who make this all possible.
